The Queen's Hat highlighted Antony as a hot new talent, and this, his third book, will win him more fans. A witty look at manners. * Bookseller * Households with toddlers may find a new family catchphrase. Simple yet funny enough for multiple readings. * Kirkus * Smart design decisions by Antony distinguish his visual storytelling. * Publishers Weekly * A simple morality tale... does the job beautifully. * The Times (Children's Book of the Week) * Steve Antony is one to keep an eye on. * picturebooksblogger * Remember to say please and thank you if you want a sweet treat from this bear! * Buzzfeed * Households with toddlers may find a new family catchphrase...Simple yet funny enough for multiple readings * Kirkus Reviews * Very sophisticated * Montreal Gazette * A simple, funny lesson in manners * Books For Keeps * A beautifully designed and illustrated picture book of unparalleled deliciousness * WRD About Books * A simple, funny lesson in manners...The book has a Jon Klassen appeal to it, with its repeated text, restricted colour palate. minimalist backgrounds and the way that sometimes only tiny changes to the artwork - a raised eyebrow on the whale for instance - are used to convey different emotions * Books For Keeps * uses monochrome to splendid effect, not just for the quite justifiably grumpy Mr Panda, but for all the animals he meets and to whom he offers his delicious, brightly-coloured tray of doughnuts. Each of them is refused and clever young children will soon guess the reason why * The School Librarian * Will spark discussion and deserves multiple readings. I love Mr Panda's expressions and have felt that way myself before when people aren't polite. Your best buy BEFORE Christmas especially for little ones yelling I WANT! * South Wales Evening Post (Swansea) * For the grandchildren Please Mr Panda by Steve Antony has been the number one * Books For Keeps * With bold illustrations and spare prose that keep the mood light and playful, Antony offers a delightful primer on manners your children will ask for again and again * Barnes & Noble *
