Table of ContentsReviews"""This book gives a unique overview of the state of the art in plasmonic sensors and detectors and includes a review of the fundamentals of plasmonics with the help of prism and optical fiber configurations. It introduces the utilization of different materials and structures with their applications in different fields, such as chemistry and biology. It is definitely a useful resource for postgraduate or PhD students as well as an update for researchers working in the field."" Prof. Carlos Ruiz Zamarreño Public University of Navarra, Spain ""This book appears at a time when plasmonics is one of the most active areas of R&D, with diversified and disruptive technological applications, particularly in the field of sensing. Its editors are international references in the area, which from the outset constitutes a guarantee of quality. This is reflected at various levels, in particular, on the high-ranking level of the authors of the chapters who are recognized researchers in their fields. It gathers the conditions to constitute a reference book in plasmonics-based optical sensing, also pointing out to new horizons for photodetection supported by the phenomenon of photon–electron coherent interactions.""
