Schneider is Associate Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the College of Design, Construction and Planning, University of Florida, USA and Graduate Studies Co-ordinator in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Ted Kitchen is Professor of Planning and Urban Regeneration and Director of the School of Environment and Development at Sheffield Hallam University, England.
