Reviews

Bani Hashim, a practicing urban planner and Abu Dhabian, cleverly weaves personal and urban history together, using archival material, interviews with key actors, and spatial mapping. A chronological investigation that engages images, diagrams, and narratives, it provides a methodology that may prove useful for future studies of other Arab cities. - Dalal Musaed Alsayer, Traditional Dwellings and Settlements Review, issue 31.2
