Planet Arun

Overview

Disaster. Recovery. Non-violence. On a world rebuilt from ashes, the man tasked with protecting humanity's future can barely control his own mind. After a devastating catastrophe, the planet Arun rose over the centuries to become a thriving world. The mighty Future Centre exists to safeguard this progress. Unexpectedly, the talented but neurotic Radan Grandee Farir is chosen to lead it. He soon finds himself mired in trouble: a brilliant young rival named Arbelle has her sights set on his position, a shadowy organisation presents an unknown threat, and to cap it all, researchers detect advanced life on a planet in a neighbouring solar system-one that has dispatched a spacecraft heading straight for Arun. Radan must steady his nerves and save his world from descending into chaos, even as his own position teeters on the brink. Planet Arun is a groundbreaking science fiction thriller that blends psychological depth with cosmic stakes. If you love realistic world-building and intellectual conflict, you'll be captivated by this thought-provoking masterpiece of societal science fiction. Unlock the secrets of Planet Arun's mysterious world today!

Author Information

Risto has lived a hectic working life as a trial lawyer, during which he has learnt a lot about human nature. After retirement, he has made a change into a science fiction writer. He is most interested in realistic world-building (rather than fantasy writing), as if everything might actually happen, and in writing across genres. He wants to study human behaviour and societal systems. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the saxophone, painting with oils, and rowing indoors.
