Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationAfter graduating from the School of Applied Arts in Bratislava in 1958, Milan Vesely (1939 - 2015) worked for the Merkur advertising agency from 1958 to 1960. After 1960, he worked as a freelance artist, he was registered at the Slovak Fund of Fine Arts and became a member of the Union of Slovak Fine Artists. In 1963 he married Slovak actress Zita Furkova and in 1990, Vesely founded the N&V DESIGN company. In the field of book graphic design and illustrations, Vesely collaborated with all of the well-known publishing houses. Vesely played a significant role in theater poster design and also designed posters for fashion exhibitions. The most prominent of his large, award-winning historical expositions was the exposition at the Slovak National Uprising Monument in Banska Bystrica in 2004 when the Monument was named Museum of the Year.
