He has worked in various hospitals in the UK and Greece. He is a Rheumatologist and a research associate at the “Hatzikosta” General Hospital of Ioannina, Greece and the director of the Rheumatology outpatient clinics “Arthritis.gr”. Certified in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography by the Central Health Board of Greece, Dr. Pelechas has contributed extensively to medical literature, serving on the editorial boards of several journals. His contribution includes research articles, book chapters and books. He is the main author of the “Illustrated Handbook of Rheumatic and MusculoSkeletal Diseases” which has been awarded by the National Academy of Athens. He has also participated in several national and international congresses as well as in several research studies with several distinctions. Dr. Pelechas is a member of several prestigious Medical Associations. His research interests include: Epidemiology of the rheumatic diseases, autoimmune rheumatic diseases. Panagiota Karagianni, MD, PhDs is a medical Biopathologist with extensive experience in both clinical and academic settings. She has worked in several prominent hospitals across Greece. Her expertise spans various aspects of biopathology, with a particular interest in the laboratory evaluation of rheumatic diseases. She has authored numerous research articles and book chapters and has taken part in national and international congresses. Her research interests include: Laboratory evaluation of rheumatic diseases with an interest in systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. Evripidis Kaltsonoudis, MD received his PhD in Rheumatology. Currently he is the director of the Rheumatology Department at the “Hatzikosta” General Hospital of Ioannina, Greece. He has participated in several national and international congresses with many distinctions, as well as several research studies. He has authored many articles with an interest to newer therapeutic targets in autoimmune diseases and a particular interest in neurological adverse events after anti-TNF therapy.
