OverviewIn this volume, I present a digression on pinwheels sails having several additional degrees of freedom. The total set of degrees formulated and/or emplied in this book includes those for: translational spacecraft and sail velocity; simple pinwheel rotation; pinwheel array support rotation about the axis of the spacecraft translational velocity vectors; an undulating or surface rippling effect on the pinwheel active surfaces; an inchworming pinwheel forward projection effect; a first axis pinwheel support structure wobbling motion effect; a second axis pinwheel support structure wobbling motion effect; a first degree of expansionary and contractive oscillation of the pinwheel support structure; a second degree of expansionary and contractive oscillation of the pinwheel support structure; and an oscilatory counter twisting effect of the pinwheel support structure. Methods of reducing the gravitational radiative losses from these gravitational moment multipolarizing effects are briefly described in this book.
