An endearing tale of friendship! Plenty of opportunities for counting, laughing, reading and thinking. Early Years Educator Enormous child appeal here as they try to guess what each animal has brought befire lifting the large flaps to find out. The simple text is perfect to read aloud and the colourful, expressive illustrations are great fun. Carousel Jessica Souhami's tale cleverly interweaves simple counting and will help to familiarise children with the different foods animals like. Nursery Education Lots of fun, with lift-the-flap pages and a final fold-out page, and plenty to count along the way. Nursery World A superb book to read to the pre-school or nursery age group. School Librarian Above all the book's appeal lies in the fast moving narrative with lots of conversation supported by bright pictures showing the delightful expressions on the animals' faces. This is a superb book to read to the pre-school or nursery age group. There's lots of potential for the reading adult to bring drama to the dialogue. School Librarian
