Having grown up in Hong Kong, she loves the city’s unique charm and character and has dedicated her work to celebrating local culture and history. Her other books include Welly the Wild Boar, Hong Kong Slang and Sunset Survivors. Catherine Choi studied Illustration and Visual Media at the London College of Communication. Born in South Korea and raised in Hong Kong, her work brings stories to life and transforms the ordinary into fantasy. Her love for illustration began at the age of five, when she discovered how helpful drawing was whenever she was too shy to talk. It opened a new way for her to express herself, and eventually it became her passion to pursue as a career.
