Overview

Picking up the pieces is an extraordinary story of a man who suffered an injustice and experienced tremendous emotional injuries as a result. Picking up the Pieces, is a well written, step-by-step instruction of how one gets past the pain of betrayal and into the healing process, which crosses Christian faith with Psychology to bring about healing from the psychological abuse he received. It explains the sexual and psychological abuse suffered by men, and how this abuse is often overlooked by authorities. In Stephan's first book, A Heart Held Ransomed, he describes the unbelievable ordeal, which ripped apart his family and brought him to his knees. Beginning in 2002 and ending in 2008, Stephan and his family were victims of an unscrupulous counselor. Over the years local headlines have covered the story, but no one really knew the damage this ordeal had left on Stephan, this is until now. In his new book, Picking up the pieces, Stephan talks about his experiences and about his relationship with Christ. It is a book that exemplifies the healing hand of God in the midst of madness. Stephan candidly, describes how God comforted him in his time of need and gave him the strength and encouragement to move forward and face his fears. Out of the ashes, Stephen stepped up and began putting the pieces of his life back together and has been encouraging others along the way. His story reveals the faithfulness of God. Yet, it clearly outlines the frustrations and insecurities, which were pressing on Stephan during the midst of the turmoil. Picking up the pieces is never easy, but with Christ it became manageable for Stephan. It is a book, which exemplifies the healing hand of God in the midst of madness and the storms of life. It is a story that will ignite your faith and will inspire you to reach beyond your circumstances and give you the strength to become victorious even in the midst of your biggest trials. Stephan's story has encouraged hundreds maybe even thousands. It's a story of a man who refused to give up and learned to count on the promises God has given to each of us. You'll be in awe as you read this book. Stephan is a changed man and he wants to share with those who are broken hearted the tidbits of wisdom, which God has so graciously given to him. If you are going through some difficult times or know someone who is, this is the book for you.

Author Information

On September 18, 2008 Stephan was falsely accused of sexual abuse stemming from his families relationship with their lay Christian counselor's teaching of repressed memory therapy. It is written using Stephan's love of history. It will bring about your full understanding of the hows and why's Stephan used in his own healing process. It is an interesting book simply based on history. However, it goes far beyond this particular realm, and uses the process of invention, which applies it to practical uses in our daily thinking patterns. Just like Thomas Edison, Stephan has not looked at his difficulties or losses as failures or wasted time. Stephan has viewed them as stepping stones and opportunities for God to use his life in yet another way; a catalyst, if you will, from being a victim to a Victor! When Stephan chose to step out of the darkness and expose the strategies of hell designed to destroy families, he took the power and control away from Satan. Stephan hold a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Professional Counseling.
