He did double-duty as an instructor of Anthropology at California State University, Northridge from 1966-1975. Professor Stein has received many teaching awards and wrote the chapter on teaching physical anthropology for a book published by the American Anthropological Association. Bruce Rowe has taught anthropology at Los Angeles Pierce College since 1969. Professor Rowe has also received numerous awards for teaching.
