He wrote his PhD Thesis in Germany, being a Doctoral Student at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) under the mentorship of the renowned German health Economist, Prof. Dr. Mathias Graf von der Schulenburg at IVBL. During 2006-2007, Kakhaber Djakeli was invited to Yale University's School of Public Health by Professor Hong Wang, where he worked on health reform concepts in the Soviet countries, particularly in Georgia. During 2007-2008, Kakhaber Djakeli was hired by the World Bank to assist the government of Georgia in developing the Health Reform Concept. With a team of Health Reformers, Kakhaber Djakeli elaborated the Concept of Georgian Healthcare Reform, which the government implemented. During 2008-2013, Georgia improved its Healthcare Potential, which was the result of reforms in the National Health System. Between 1998 and 2017, Kakhaber Djakeli was invited by DAAD to German universities for research on healthcare concept development. In 2017, Kakhaber Djakeli was a Visiting Professor at Kennesaw State University (USA). He currently works at the University of Georgia's School of Health Sciences, where he continues to study Healthcare Markets and Healthcare Reform opportunities in response to Global and Local Challenges. The digitalization and innovative information technologies implemented in the Healthcare Market and industry enable Professor Djakeli to study global and local challenges in national and international markets, promoting new concepts and ideas for better patient satisfaction.
