Reviews

There has never been a more important time to expose children to the great ideas. It is never too soon. In a time when truth itself is being superficially discarded without reasoned arguments, Linsenmayer arms children with deeper understanding and a highly accessible survey of the historic sweep of philosophy. --Drew Pinsky, MD A welcome addition to the burgeoning literature that strives to get young people interested in philosophy. Written with an engaging question-and-answer format and drawing on a huge range of philosophical sources, the book is especially notable and admirable for its inclusion of many non-Western thinkers. --Peter Adamson, author Linsenmayer's snappy writing makes difficult ideas accessible. This text illuminates an impressive number of ideas in a way that allows readers not only learn them but engage them critically. --Lawrence Ware, associate director of Center for Africana Studies and teaching assistant professor at Oklahoma State University
