Bekanntlich giebt es noch immer Leute, welche solche Zweifel hegen, die so gar die mathematischen Wahrheiten fur Produkte der Erfahrung halten, die z. B. Den Satz, dass die 3 Winkel im Dreieck zu sammen 2 Rechte betragen, fur einen Erfahrungssatz erklaren, obwohl, seit es eine Feldmesskunst giebt, noch niemals die Summe der 3 Dreieckswinkel genau 1800 gefunden worden ist. Um solche Zweifel zu zerstreuen, giebt es nun wohl kaum ein an schaulicheres Beispiel, als die Satze der Wahrscheinlichkeitslehre, die ihrer ganzen Ableitung nach gar nicht aus der Erfahrung hergenommen sein konnen und die sich doch auf Erfahrung beziehen.
