OverviewThe ironically titled 'Philosophical Ruminations', written intermittently between 2006-7, chews the philosophic cud in a variety of settings, some metaphysical, others less so, but does it with an essayistic flair that owes more to the blogging medium from which the material was derived (the author's original site at 'blogger.com') than to any conscious intent on his part to be essayistic or overly discursive. Nonetheless, these weblogs are recognizably a part of John O'Loughlin's overall literary canon, and the reader familiar with his works would find ample evidence of what passes for Social Theocratic truth, as also with the 'Theosophical Illuminations' which follows on from the above and is more consciously aphoristic, deriving from the author's former blogsite at 'spweblog.com' and being akin, in a sense, to a further instalment of the kind of material included in 'Opus Postscriptum' (2006). - A Centretruths editorial Full Product DetailsAuthor: John O'LoughlinPublisher: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform Imprint: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform Dimensions: Width: 15.20cm , Height: 0.80cm , Length: 22.90cm Weight: 0.200kg ISBN: 9781511535465ISBN 10: 1511535466 Pages: 144 Publication Date: 31 March 2015 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Available To Order We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJohn O'Loughlin is a London-based author who was born in Ireland of an English mother and grew up first in Hampshire and then in Surrey, where he attended a variety of state schools. Most of his adult life has been spent at different addresses in the London Borough of Haringey, north of the River Thames, to which he moved from Surrey in 1974, and all but a few of his books have been written there, the majority of which, like this one, are of an intensely philosophical not to say metaphysical and even ideological nature.
