Her research examines the relationships between cultural production and platformisation, dealing with questions of power, ideology and resistance in digital cultures in the global South. She co-edited the book, Asian Perspectives on Digital Culture: Emerging Phenomena, Enduring Concepts (Routledge). Earvin Charles B. Cabalquinto is a Lecturer in Communication in the School of Communication and Creative Arts (SCCA) at Deakin University, Australia. He is also a member of the Alfred Deakin Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation. His research unpacks the potentialities and politics of digital media use in a transnational context.
