He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (SUT) in Tehran, Iran, in 1980 and his master’s and doctoral degrees in Chemical Engineering from the School of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, in 1984 and 1988, respectively. He joined the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at Tarbiat Modares University (TMU) in Tehran, Iran, in 1988 and retired in 2020. His current research interests focus on the applications of phase change materials for thermal energy storage systems and the production of biofuels through the thermal and catalytic pyrolysis of biomass and plastic wastes.
