Author Information

Dr. Aarushi Singh is an accomplished chemist currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Ramjas College, University of Delhi. She embarked on her academic journey with a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Ramjas College in 2011, followed by a Master's in Chemistry from the University of Delhi in 2013. Driven by a passion for research, Dr. Singh pursued her Ph.D. at the same institution, completing it in 2021. Her doctoral thesis, conducted under the mentorship of Prof. Ramesh Chandra and Dr. Rakeshwar Bandichhor, focused on the synthesis of biologically active Pyrazinoindoles and their mechanistic interaction studies.Dr. Singh has accumulated significant research experience through various prestigious roles and projects. She worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), where she developed inhalable nanomicelles for lung cancer treatment. She has also held positions as a Research Associate at the University of Alberta, Canada, focusing on the synthesis of Piperidinyl allylboronates, and at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences in Germany, where she synthesized magnetic resonance contrast agents. Her international experience includes a stint as a Visiting Scientist at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, Germany, and as a Ph.D. Exchange Student at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), where she studied the inhibition of protein aggregation by zwitterionic polymers. These experiences were supported by several prestigious fellowships, including the Shastri Research Student Fellowship and the JASSO Fellowship.Dr. Singh's research interests are broad and interdisciplinary, encompassing multi-step organic synthesis, heterocyclic synthesis, and the development of biologically active compounds. Dr. Singh has authored one book and published over 15 original scientific research papers in internationally recognized journals. In addition to her research, Dr. Singh is dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation of chemists. Her diverse background and international collaborations enrich her teaching, providing students with a global perspective on chemical research and applications.Dr. Aarushi Singh continues to contribute to the field of chemistry through her innovative research, dedicated teaching, and active participation in the scientific community. Her work aims to bridge the gap between advanced research and practical applications, making complex chemical concepts accessible and impactful.
