Steve Mattheis is an award-winning professional photographer who specializes in the wildlife and landscapes of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. His photography has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers, including Wyoming Wildlife Magazine, Audubon Magazine, and Nature's Best Photography Magazine. In both 2017 and 2018 Mattheis received Audubon Photography Awards for his photographs of Great Gray Owls. In 2017 he won the professional division, and in 2018 he was the Grand Prize Winner. Mattheis is a native of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he has lived for over forty years.
