OverviewWhat is real to us human beings, which is becoming apparent only bit by bit, is to be observed and described. This is what this study is set out to do, drawing on the works of Kant, Schleiermacher and Heidegger. In the process of examination, it becomes apparent that the process of revelation always points towards the transcendent god who can be sensed, whilst revealing our given reality. It is the personal presence of Jesus Christ which constitutes - in a transcendent manner - our whole reality. Thus, protestant theology needs to be constructed as a phenomenology of the time of God.
