I'm interested in fundamental research. But I am not a fundamentalist. Nor am I a Marxist. Nor am I a modernist. If the world were all deconstructionist buildings, I'd go nuts. I am interested in what the discipline has to show us about architecture as it relates to the culture.

Author Information

Silvio Cassara is an architect and Professor of History of Architecture at the University of Bologna. Visiting Professor at a number of U.S. universities, he is an attentive observer of the design and planning scene in the USA and particularly in New York. He is the author of Richard Meier: Recent Works. Jeffrey Kipnis is the Curator of Architecture at the Wexner Center for the Arts at Ohio University and is author of numerous publications including Choral Works Jacques Derrida and Peter Eisenman (1997) Philip Johnson Recent Work (1996), Morphosis (2001), et al. Anthony Vidler is Dean of the School of Architecture of Cooper Union and author of Warped Space and The Architectural Uncanny.
