Author Information

Professor Ronald C.C. Cuming teaches at the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan. The focus of his academic work has been on the basis for reform of Canadian and international commercial law. He has acted as a consultant to the World Bank and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and his work in the form of journal articles and books has been applied by Canadian trial and appeal courts and by the Supreme Court of Canada. Catherine Walsh, Professor, Faculty of Law, McGill University. Her principal teaching and research interests are secured transactions law and private international law with a focus on their comparative dimensions. She has contributed to law reform initiatives in the field of secured transactions law at the provincial, national, and international levels. Roderick J. Wood is the F.R. (Dick) Matthews Q.C. Professor of Business Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Alberta. He teaches and publishes in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency law, personal property security law, and commercial law. He has co-authored books on secured transactions law in Canada and in New Zealand and has served as associate dean at the Faculty of Law, as a board member of the Alberta Law Reform Institute, and as commissioner of the Law Commission of Canada.
