OverviewSome people try to pray but soon give up because it doesn't seem to get them anywhere. Many join in public prayers at church before declaring it hasn't had a personal effect. Others attempt prayer in times of tragedy, only to discover that it makes no real difference. Yet underneath these apparent failures there remains the nagging feeling that a personal friendship with God is important and that prayer matters. This book is written for everyone who is interested--even if only slightly--in a prayer that brings them into contact with God. This interest may be the result of recent tragedy such as the death of a loved one or the breakdown of an important relationship. Or it may be that you're having your child baptized and you want to develop a relationship with God so your child can enjoy a real faith. It may be that you simply feel an emptiness in your life and your distance from God is the source of that emptiness. Whatever your reason, Personal Prayer will help you find new life in your approach to prayer. View sample pages.
