OverviewThis is the story told in folklore of how persimmon tree seeds can predict the weather. Perscilla Persimmon is the happiest tree in the meadow. She stands among the most beautiful and colorful trees. Her animal friends come to sit in her shade and eat her fruit. One day, men in trucks chop down all the trees and scare the animals away. She is alone. The men keep coming back and soon she realizes that now she lives in the middle of a neighborhood. The children who live in the nearby houses come to play in her shade. The people snip her branches and take care of her. She returns their kindness by sharing her fruit and her magical seeds.
