As a child, Suzy was always sensitive to people in pain and would randomly reach out to people with a healing touch or compassionate ear. Growing up, she felt drawn to alternative healing arts and voraciously studied many modalities. Instead of choosing a career in health care and bodywork, there were many other interests pulling at her. She continued to use her gift for people in need, who crossed her path, but Suzy's career trajectory landed her into the world of ski competition and instruction. As a coach and parent, who also collaborated with 'at-risk' students in writing and performing numerous inspirational original plays, Suzy understands the need for helping people learn how to reframe thinking and cope with the challenges they are facing. Suzy has been deeply committed to the research of human development, consciousness, motivation, physiology, biomechanics, the use of language, and the power of the mind regarding performance and healing. Discovering many effective modalities, she put into practice the concepts while raising her own children and coaching others. Her methodologies proved to be very powerful in elevating self-esteem, reducing stress, and helping children (and many adults) realize their potential. Suzy was inspired to write stories that would teach people life skills by engaging the reader and imparting conventional wisdom surreptitiously. In an effort to hold the challenged reader's attention, she committed to making an illustration for each page of text. When not coaching ski instructors or creating, Suzy continues to share her gifts as a healer, teacher, and writer by facilitating workshops and presenting seminars nationally and internationally.
