Overview

This volume describes the Northern Peri-tethyan Platform and the Southern Peri-tethyan Platform in nine and four papers, respectively. Four papers discuss stratigraphy and correlation problems in Ukraine and Russia from the Upper Carboniferous to the Jurassic period. There are three articles on the paleostress problems of the Crimea-Caucasus and Moesia, and two papers on the tectonic history of the Scythian platform and Black Sea region. The four papers on the Southern Platform deal with Algeria, Eritrea and Tunisia.
