His research focuses on ancient Greek and Roman performance cultures, classics and the history of sexuality, dance in classical antiquity, and its receptions. He received his PhD at the University of Southern California and is an Early Career Associate with the Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama at the University of Oxford. Prior to the study of Classics, Tom was a professional dancer and choreographer working with institutions such as the Royal Ballet, the Royal Opera House, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London.
