The author, who lost her brother Chris to an illness and wanted to dedicate this book to him, tells the story of the young boy Aiden, who loses his uncle Chris and has to cope with that loss. He eventually begins to see his uncle in the things around him and realizes that he can still talk to his uncle even though he is gone. Morales's book shares a very powerful story with readers. It's difficult to talk with kids about the death of a loved one, but that doesn't mean it's not an important thing to do. Born and raised in San Bernardino, California, Kristina fell in love with books after reading The Giving Tree at age seven. Her love for literature made her dream of writing her own children's book. When her brother Chris fell ill, she moved to Texas to care for him. The bond they formed during this period inspired her to write (insert title) and adopt Texas as her home. She lives there with her two cats, Cheeto and Frito, and hopes to continue writing books on sensitive topics for children. Originaria de San Bernardino, California, Kristina se enamoró de los libros después de leer El árbol generoso a los siete años. Su amor por la literatura la llevó a soñar con escribir su propio libro infantil. Cuando su hermano Chris enfermó, ella se mudó a Texas para cuidar de él.
