(debut book): Luke Vandergriff is an artist, storyteller, and musician from North Carolina (USA) who creates instruments from recycled materials. He has lived in Bolivia, traveled widely, and inspired hope and creativity for audiences including refugees, orphans, and others from all walks of life. Wherever he goes, he uses his talents to encourage and empower those around him. Rafael A. Osuba (b. 1967) is a visual artist, author, illustrator, cultural producer, and storyteller. He is the Editor-in-chief of Artist Studio Project Publishing LLC. He's passionate about sharing memories and tales from his beloved Puerto Rico. Growing up in Barrio La Mineral in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, he often draws inspiration for his stories from those cherished childhood experiences in Borikén. Osuba believes it's essential to teach children the value of preserving culture and highlighting the daily beauty and positivity around us. He strongly advocates for children seeing themselves represented in the books they read, regardless of their cultural, ethnic, or socioeconomic background. For him, bilingual and bicultural children's books are crucial; they help children understand their own culture and ancestral origins, whether living in their native country or abroad.
