She completed her doctoral studies at University of Kent at Canterbury, U.K. and was an Assistant Research Professor at Centre for Policy Research from 1994 till 1998. Dr Behera has co-edited Perspectives on South Asia (Konark, 2000) and is co-author of Beyond Boundaries: A Report on the State of Non-official Dialogues on Peace, Security and Cooperation in South Asia (University of Toronto, Canada, 1997). She has also published several research papers in edited volumes and academic journals in India and abroad. Victor Gunawardena is Course Director, Journalism and Communication Project, Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, Colombo.
