Each year, over a million people walk the East and West piers at Dún Laoghaire. Whether it’s for a quiet walk, family days out, first dates, weddings, hanging out with friends, walking the dog, or just taking in the air, the harbour area undoubtedly counts as one of Ireland’s best-loved visitor attractions. People from all over the world, including politicians, royals and celebrities, have embarked and disembarked at the ferry terminals and many thousands of Irish people have joined the diaspora from this pier.
