People Have Pets is Dave Schwartz's first children's book and reflects his lifelong love of illustrated books, especially those by Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein. As a writer of prose, Dave is largely influenced by Roald Dahl, Ernest Hemingway, and Kurt Vonnegut. His first published book for adults, The House Across the Road and Other Stories, was published in 2023. Dave is a composer and singer-songwriter living in Florida. His recording band is the Vince Berman Trio, and his music is available on all streaming services.
