Overview

Eddie and the milkman is a short novel telling of an unlikely friendship between a young Salford milkman, Ronnie Perkins and Busby Babe Eddie Colman. Set in the final days leading up to the Munich air disaster and its immediate aftermath, the story unfolds with laughter, tears, tragedy and a host of wonderful characters, set around 9 Archie street, Ordsall. The original setting for Coronation Street. Though a tale steeped in sadness, it ultimately surprises with a finale that proves some friendships prevail against all. Salford is well known for being a hot bed of Manchester United support, you're born with a birthright from the cradle to the grave. With Eddie and the milkman their friendship surpasses even that.
