Pedorthics 101 for Your Foot Health: Cause of Foot & Major Joint Pain, Tilted Anklebones, Anklebone Alignment Test

Overview

Most people assume pain begins where it hurts. This book explains why that assumption is often wrong. Drawing on decades of experience as a pedorthist and anklebone alignment specialist, Inna Chon reveals how tilted anklebones-that cause by the fallen Tarsal Joint, not many people know about-quietly pull the body out of alignment and lead to progressive damage throughout the feet, knees, hips, spine, and beyond. Because this process happens gradually, most people are unaware of the mechanical stress accumulating in their bodies until pain finally starts. This book explains how the human body is designed to stand and walk, how proper weight distribution should occur from the anklebone and throughout the bottom of the foot, including the arch, and why misaligned feet disrupt posture, balance, gait, and joint function. Through real-life observations and practical examples, readers learn how ill-fitting shoes, wrong walking habits, and improperly fabricated orthotics contribute to chronic pain-and how aligning the tilted anklebones can restore balance from the feet up, and how to do the Anklebone Alignment Test. Written for both professionals and the general public, this book offers a clear, preventative approach to understanding pain, movement, and long-term body health. Rather than chasing symptoms, it teaches readers to recognize and correct the root cause-starting at the foundation of the body. Our body stands on the Anklebones. So both anklebones should be aligned at the same height for our body to function in alignment. Anklebones are like the wheels of our body vehicle. But, this book-with over 200 illustrations-reveals that most people's anklebones are all tilted, so people are all moving out of alignment, and how these tilted anklebones have been overlooked and quietly disrupt the biomechanics of our entire body from the feet up, and causes numerous problems throughout the body. With over 20 years of hands-on experience as a pedorthist and anklebone alignment specialist, Inna Chon explains how our foot is structured with most complicated Tarsal joint-a group of tiny joints on top of the foot that forms the arch not many people know about-and our foot mechanics methodically and thoroughly for easy understanding, and how our foot should handle our entire body weight and how its alignment affects posture, gait, joint health, and chronic pain. Also, she explains that on tilted anklebones, our body cannot use its full strength and its full range of motion, also, cannot even develop its full strength. So, we wouldn't know how strong our body can really be. Through clear explanations, real case examples, and practical insights, readers will learn why foot pain and its deformities and pain in the knees, hips, back, and even scoliosis often originate from the fallen tarsal joint that tilts the anklebone. Also, Inna introduces the concept of anklebone alignment, and how she developed Anklebone Alignment Test, and explains how improper weight distribution damages the body over time, and shows how properly fabricated orthotics can restore balance from the feet up and can prevent numerous problems the tilted anklebones cause. Written for both professionals and the general public, this book offers a new way to understand pain, prevention, and long-term body health-starting with the feet.

Author Information

Since 2003, Inna has been blending her skill in analyzing movements w/ weight she honed as a Disney animator with her background in physical therapy to connect the relationship between the foot structure, walking cycle, & body alignment that directly relates to foot & major joint health. While analyzing the walking cycle, she found that every step we take, the Tarsal joint (not many people know about) on top of the foot that forms the arch silently falls and tilts the anklebones where our body stands. This makes our body to move out of alignment and, over time, contributes to deterioration in the foot & major joints. However, our medical field overlooks the tilted anklebones and treats the problems w/out addressing the tilted anklebones.Inna explains how the tilted anklebones cause the foot & major joint issues, including scoliosis, and eliminates those issues by aligning the tilted anklebones with her custom orthotics & teach how to walk correctly.Inna's hypothesis - ""A body standing on tilted anklebones cannot use its full strength & full range ofmotion, and prone to compensate that increases injury risks. But a body standing on aligned anklebones can use its full strength & full range of motion w/out compensating."" - led her to develop the Anklebone Alignment Test(TM), a simple, yet powerful tool anyone can learn and ensure their anklebones are always aligned.Since 2005, Inna has helped people regain their mobility, strength, and pain-free movement with truebalance that comes from alignment, not compensation.
