Born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky, Michael a B.S. in Zoology and Chemistry from the University of Louisville and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Thompson is currently employed as a Professor of Biology at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He has been an avid cyclist and runner for many years, and is a strong advocate for outdoor recreation.
