Author Information

Meetrah Amini was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended Baylor University and graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Communications and a minor in Sociology. After college, she studied and worked abroad in multiple European countries. As a woman of Persian and Hispanic descent, she enjoys being immersed in different cultures. After returning to Texas, she reconnected with an old friend from Elementary school at the gym. They were married, two weeks before the pandemic. After battling fertility struggles, they now share a son. Meetrah lost her father to cancer just 12 weeks postpartum. After that loss and multiple miscarriages, she was inspired to write this book as an outlet for that carried grief. She hopes to reach people experiencing grief on a personal level.
