OverviewUdaya R. Tennakoon is a poet, philosopher, and scholar dedicated to exploring justice through a cosmological and ethical lens. His work weaves together ancient philosophies, ecological awareness, and human consciousness into post-haiku and haibun sequences, creating a poetic framework for ethical reflection. In Peace, Being Pieces, Tennakoon draws on the teachings of Buddha, Confucius, Laozi, and Socrates, exploring justice not as law or decree but as relational, emergent, and felt through breath, ritual, and attention to the natural world. His writing seeks to awaken the reader to the rhythms of life, the interconnection of beings, and the ethical responsibility embedded in every action. Tennakoon's work continues in a series that traces philosophical justice through classical, revolutionary, feminist, post-Marxist, and planetary thought, inviting readers into a journey of reflection, imagination, and ethical practice.
