Overview

Enemy-constructions of competing missionaries are particularly lucid in 2Cor 10-13 and widely received in exegetical interpretations. These theological readings take less account of the polemical context than of a ""theology of the cross"". On the contrary, literary and linguistic approaches to the phenomenon of polemics show that Paul does not differ significantly from his opponents.
