Rev. Dr. Timo Laato returns to his arguments around Christology, Paul, and Judaism in this second edition. While the present debate was started in 1977, the conversation has continued to the present day, and this new edition addresses the continuing scholarship that has come out surrounding Pauline theology. Throughout, new research and theological conclusions have been added, along with revisions to the original argument and English translation quality. At the core, Laato addresses the Christological argument alongside an anthropological analysis on Judaism versus Paul's soteriology. New to this edition is Chapter 7 about Paul's mindset: a discussion about the way that he thinks, from solution to plight or not. Rev. Dr. Timo Laato is senior lecturer in New Testament exegesis at Lutheran School of Theology in Gothenburg, Sweden. Additionally, he is main coordinator and major adviser in the Pastoral Theology Program at Luther Foundation, Gothenburg, Sweden.
