Overview

Patrick the Paratrooper takes the 'read-to-me' and early readers on an introduction to World War II. Patrick joins the world-renown Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), 101st Airborne, made famous by the book written by Stephen Ambrose and the HBO miniseries, Band of Brothers. 10-year old Patrick goes from enlistment into the Army to becoming a paratrooper. He parachutes into Normandy on D-Day, jumps into The Netherlands for Operation Market-Garden, fights in the bitter cold of Bastogne and reflects on the end of the war, and his buddies, at the Eagle's Nest.
