Patricia P. Willoughby And The School Buggy

Overview

Step back into a 16th-century English village, beside the willows, where the very first school was invented by a need to teach their young ones to read so they can keep their land from being stolen and to read the Bible for themselves. Visit a place where the schoolchildren travel by buggy, write their lessons on slate boards, and discover that even ordinary days can hold extraordinary lessons. Learn how people really lived back then. and what everyday life was like in the 1500s. Meet the clever, witty little girl named Patricia, who is curious, brave, and full of questions. Along with her friends, Bet, Hugh, and the twins, better known as ""Us,"" she learns more than just numbers and letters in the little church turned schoolhouse. From a buggy that sneezes to the Truth Patrol, every moment becomes a lesson about kindness, truth, and courage. But when old Mr. Pike nearly loses his meadow to a dishonest trader, Patricia's new reading skills uncover the truth hidden in a single line of ink. What happens next shows the children, and the whole village, that the truth really does set you free. Learn the scripture verse. ""And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."" John 8:32, along with Patricia and her friends, and learn how important the truth is. Why families love The School Buggy: ✔ Wholesome, faith-friendly storytelling rooted in history ✔ Memorable characters children will laugh with and learn from ✔ Gentle lessons in kindness, community, and honesty woven into everyday adventures ✔ Educational tie-ins, slates, village schools, and Scripture truths brought to life Whether you're a parent, grandparent, teacher, or homeschooler, The School Buggy is more than a story. It's a window into the past, a tool for sparking family conversations, and a reminder that God hears even the quiet prayers of a child's heart. ✨Climb aboard the buggy; the horses are ready, the road is waiting, and the story is about to begin.

Author Information

When she's not chasing toddlers or wrangling DIY projects, She is knee-deep in paint, pottery, and passion projects. A mother of three, she's lived every chapter of parenthood-and now she's writing the book on it (literally). After she received her degree in Biomedical Technology she found herself blessed with a second child. Deciding it was a good time to start her own daycare she cared for preschoolers for almost a decade. All while homeschooling her children. She has worn many hats, daycare owner, web designer and developer, entrepreneur, and now, author. Her professional journey has taken her from the toddler trenches to the tech world, blending logic with laughter, and spreadsheets with snack times. Currently, she's channeling her energy into launching a nonprofit organization to support victims of domestic violence, a cause close to her heart. Parenting 101 & 102 is her heartfelt (and humorous) way of paying it forward, sharing the messy, magical, meltdown-filled wisdom she's earned one banana-smeared day at a time.
