Table of ContentsReviewsThe concept of a quick reference combining research in disease progression and disease prevention is very appealing and exciting to many scientists and healthcare workers in preventive care. The author thoroughly explains the pathology of oxidative stress and many diseases relevant to practicing healthcare workers, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, pulmonary diseases, and cancers. The chapters discussing the relationship between dietary antioxidants and diseases are very specific and may limit which areas of nutrition and medicine can find this textbook useful. A future edition focusing on specific diseases and antioxidant classes and categories would be beneficial to practicing healthcare workers. --Doody Author InformationVictor R.
