OverviewThe hope for this book is to bring to light, some of the feelings, confusion and complications, which make the pastoral transition experience difficult for both pastors and their congregations. It establishes common categories and language to facilitate richer and deeper conversations between pastor and people about the shared experience of congregational life and pastoral transition. It provides direction to encourage careful consideration of some of the causes and effects of pastoral change which may be one of the major factors for congregational pastoral transition passivity. Lastly, it explores ways of using the process of pastoral change to facilitate improved pastor/congregation relationship.
