Author Information

Niall P. Dunphy is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Engineering and the Environmental Research Institute at University College Cork, Ireland. He is a transdisciplinary researcher and educator, and he leads a multi-disciplinary research group working at the intersection of science and engineering with the social sciences and humanities. His research has a particular emphasis on people’s relationship with energy and the energy system. Breffní Lennon is a Research Fellow at the Environmental Research Institute, University College Cork, Ireland. He is a human geographer researching the social, environmental and economic challenges of the energy transition. His work engages the theme of society, sustainability, and energy. He is particularly interested in the roles and expectations around citizenship and participation in the energy system. Alexandra Revez is a Research Fellow at MaREI, the SFI Research Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine at University College Cork, Ireland. She is an experienced academic with cross-disciplinary  expertise. Her research has focused on democratic innovations, social policy, public participation and engaged community science. Alexandra is the Vice-Chair of COST Action SHiFT and a contributor participant on the IEA UsersTCP Gender & Energy Task. BinBin J. Pearce is an assistant professor for policy analysis and design at Delft University of Technology. Previously, she was based in the Transdisciplinarity Lab in the Institute of Environmental Decisions at ETH Zürich. She is the coordinator of the Horizon 2020 project ENCLUDE: Energy Citizens for Inclusive Decarbonization, which aims to operationalise the concept of energy citizenship in order to contribute to the goals of the energy transition.
