Overview### Published in 2014, but just now released in 2018, after almost four (4) years of additional validation of the information in the book out in the real world. Released with confidence! ### People and their animal companions come in all forms and sizes, but anyone who has owned or been owned by a companion parrot, knows that they have both a very special friend, and that friend has its own special needs to survive in this crazy human existence of ours. The Parrot Monk (aka John Fisher) spent 7 years gathering up all the best and most accurate information he could find related specifically to the health and safety of companion parrots. He stressed over the perfection of every detail, and made sure that he ran his information by as many avian veterinarians, breeders, behaviorists, and conservationists that he could, as part of the research process. He was fortunate enough to be able to contract with Rebecca K. O'Connor, one of the countries leading Authors, Trainers and Conservationists in the world of avian species and specfically raptors, to review and edit the book for accuracy of information. Then additionally, the book was edited one final time for simplicity and clarity of information by well known author, editor and freelance writer Kristine M. Smith. Through all these efforts, it is the hope of the author, that Companion Parrot and Pet Bird Owners will have one simple and straight forward resource to reference to ensure the absolute best in Companion Parrot health and safety, through the use of the Parrot Monk's Guide to Companion Parrot Health & Safety , and that this information will be a helpful and thoughtful resource used by many for years to come. Let us do our best to show love and respect to all of our feathered friends and how much they mean to us, by keeping them healthy and safe.
