OverviewA little journey, in paintings set in the 60s and 70s, through the Park area (and beyond), alongside amusing little anecdotes and memories of the Park district, the people and in particular the residents of Park Hill flats. Through his paintings, Mick shows the buildings and the skies as perceived by others both of Park Hill and Sheffield: a little bleak, grim, rather dark. But, by painting the people in a more colourful way, he reflects their character: despite the toil and bad times, the people are resilient, vibrant and know how to enjoy themselves.
