Overview

As a parent you often wonder if you are doing a good job. You doubt yourself and have many questions as to what the best decisions are. The only way to receive the answers is to seek the Lord and meditate on his word. After receiving many compliments on my children from friend's, coworker's, teachers and even stranger's, I realized that by the grace of God I was doing well and he was giving me confirmation with all the compliments. I received letters from their teachers at school and even the principal telling me what great children they are and that I was doing a great job at home. That is a good feeling. There is no greater testimony, and I give all glory to God for his guidance. I am grateful for the opportunity to raise so many children. I know that children are a blessing and God needs me to do it right, to do it his way. Isaiah 54:13 All your sons will be taught by the Lord, and great will be your children's peace. I know that if I am obedient they too will receive blessings. I know that they watch everything I say and do, and I pray the Lord will always help me to remember that. I need the Holy Spirit to keep me on track and I have to remain open and prayed up for him to speak to me. I pray that a lot of what my children have learned from going to church, from reading the word and staying in prayer is a benefit and pass it on to their own children. I will take my grand-children at every opportunity to church and tell them all about my Lord and savior. I am sure at times they will not want to hear it, but that is what God has called me to do. That is what he has called us all to do. Is it easy to raise children by the Word of God? Not in this day and time because there are so many people trying to discredit the Word of God, claiming it is nonsense. Our children have so many other influences that are far from God.
