Panic is a great motivator! The metaphor for my life. The kids have been after me to get the stories down on paper. ""You're not getting any younger, mom! If you don't do it, no one will."" Okay, mom listened. My ordinary life, and yet-extraordinary in oh, so many ways. My stories, my memories, something of a biography and a memoir. I begin with my maternal grandparents, Harry Sorley born in 1907 and Alice Astley born in 1909, and through to today (retirement in Calgary). Friends, family, coworkers, many who have contributed to the narrative of my life. Laughter and tears, some heartbreak. We all have stories. For those of you who colour outside the lines, keep up the good work. As we know, life is messy. Without messy, we would be oh, so bored.
