Palisade

Overview

Humans have finally entered the galactic game with Faster Than Light drives. They go about doing the normal things: explore, start small settlements then bigger ones, a few Ring worlds where needed and Trade with other species...the ones that aren't trying to kill or eat them. Along this journey they discover other humans on different planets or flying about. Imagine their surprise when each race vaguely remembers the myth of Earth. Turns out these people were kidnapped millennia ago from Earth as slaves by alien masters to live on other planets. All the tribes were used by a species called Enki. The Enki were gone. As the Terrans studied the situation becoming angry that their planet was raped of entire villages of people to become slaves, they started to discover artifacts and Temples celebrating the Enki race. Stone monoliths, pyramids, statuary, and carved languages. All the bric and brac of early Egyptians. The language was Sumerian and Egyptian easily understood by the Terrans. The Enki built huge Temples to themselves, was the Overlord to their slaves and traveled the stars for thousands of years. Then one day, they disappeared. Or so we thought. Several writings indicated they would return. They were coming back to their old hunting grounds and Earth was their home. The Enki were extremely dangerous! Earth made ready to deal with them for they were no longer the slaves of old And in the usual fashion the Enki were discovered to be early Egyptians with strange new powers. Our ancestors were coming Home.
